Henry's Stool
This stool was designed to be a step stool for my nephew so he can stand at the sink and brush his teeth or help-out at the counter. The mortise and tenon construction lends to extreme durability. The stool is 13"W x 13"L x 11"H The legs are Nova Scotian red maple painted with non-toxic milk paint. The rails are white birch, also from our local woodland, while the platform can vary stool to stool. The main photo is of an imported walnut (Ontario). Both have been finished with a natural shellac and buffed with wax. The tenons pass through the leg and are about 1/16th of an inch proud. All edges have been smoothed for a gentler touch.
